The E17 code on a Siemens washing machine appears when the appliance fails to fill with water within the expected time. If the flow does not reach the expected level, the system stops the cycle. This control prevents the programme from continuing with too little water, something that would affect the wash, the movement of the drum and the dispensing of detergent.
The figure many technicians use as a reference is simple: with the tap fully open, around 10 litres per minute should flow through the connection. It is not a universal figure for every home, but it is a useful guideline for understanding whether the installation has sufficient pressure.
