Balay 3VS571BP dishwasher: display errors and solutions
Find out what the display codes mean and which checks you can safely perform without risking the appliance.

A code or flashing time on the display of the Balay 3VS571BP does not always mean that the appliance has completely failed. Some warnings are related to water intake, drainage or program selection, while others, such as E09 or E19, usually require technical inspection. Identifying the message before repeatedly restarting the machine helps prevent the problem from getting worse.
If you have a problem with your dishwasher, you can use our free error code finder. From there you can identify and solve all errors easily and effectively.
What the Balay 3VS571BP display indicates
This freestanding model holds 13 place settings, has five programs and a display showing the remaining time, delayed start and certain faults. The Eco program can last more than three hours; its duration alone does not indicate a fault, since it reduces consumption through a longer wash and controlled temperatures.
When the program time flashes and the dishwasher does not start, check that the door has closed until the latch engages, that the tap is open and that delayed start has not been activated. The cycle may also have been interrupted by a temporary power failure. Switching the appliance off, waiting a few minutes and selecting the program again can rule out a temporary electronic lock.
Dishes should be loaded without blocking the spray arms, and the filters must remain clean. A kinked inlet hose, a blocked mesh filter or an incorrectly installed drain can prevent the appliance from starting even though the display remains on. In a correct installation, the inlet hose is approximately 1.65 meters long and the drain hose 1.9 meters.
Common codes and safe checks
Error E19 is usually associated with a problem in the dispenser or an internal valve. If it disappears after disconnecting the appliance but returns the next day, the reset is only hiding the fault. Close the water tap, unplug the dishwasher and avoid removing electrical components: a recurring code requires professional diagnosis.
E09 normally points to a fault in the water-heating system. The heating element may be integrated into the heat pump, so the dishwasher finishes with a cold interior, washes less effectively and leaves dishes wet. A descaling product may help when E12 appears because of limescale, but it cannot repair a damaged heating element or replace an inspection.
Code E15 has a different priority: it indicates that the leak protection system has been activated, usually because water has reached the bottom tray. Do not repeatedly tilt the appliance or continue testing it. Shut off the water supply and request assistance, especially if there is moisture beneath the dishwasher. E18 is usually linked to water intake; E22, E24 and E25 to blocked filters, pump or drain hose.
Before carrying out any intervention, disconnect the power and water supply. It is reasonable only to clean accessible filters and check that the hoses are not pinched. The stainless steel tub, 48-decibel noise level and approximate consumption of 9.5 liters per cycle describe normal operation, but they cannot by themselves identify the source of a code.
When to stop resetting and request a repair
An isolated warning after a power cut may disappear after a reset, but a code that returns, an unusual smell, standing water or a lack of heating indicate that the problem is not simply a setting. Note the exact code, when it appears and whether water remains in the tub: this information speeds up diagnosis.
The Balay 3VS571BP can provide quiet and effective washing for years with clean filters and correct installation, but the display is a warning signal, not a complete explanation. How often the error returns is the decisive clue: the more frequently it appears, the less useful repeated resets become and the more important it is to inspect the water intake, drainage, heating system or electronics.
