What the SC 918 warning may indicate

For that reason, the number should not be interpreted on its own: the dryer’s behavior provides an important clue.

If the drum turns but the clothes remain damp, the problem is often related to airflow, condensation or moisture measurement. If the appliance stops after a few minutes, the tank is empty and the warning returns, lint may have built up in the condensate pump or internal drainage channel. If the warning returns, a burning smell appears, the household breaker trips or the drum does not turn, stop using the appliance. The heating element, NTC sensor, belt, pump, motor or electronic module may be affected. Repair requires measurements with the appliance disconnected, and bypassing sensors or thermal protections is not advisable.
