In units that run daily, dirt does not take long to accumulate; summer is harsher than it seems. Maintenance is not a cosmetic gesture, it is a functional measure.

An annual inspection helps detect fatigued trays, odd tilts, deteriorated insulation, or small blockages before water appears inside the house. If the appliance is on a wall exposed to dust, grease, or ambient moisture, the inspection should be even more rigorous.
