Balay Varioperfect 8 kg: instructions and E18 code

What error 18 means on a Balay Varioperfect

The warning usually appears at the end of the wash, when the drum should empty before spinning. Water may remain in the tub, the door may stay locked and the program may stop with soaked clothes inside. It is not usually an electronic fault: the system detects that the water level is not falling as it should.

Before doing anything, switch off the washer, unplug it and wait a few minutes. Never force the door open, particularly if you can see water through the glass. If the cycle used hot water, allow it to cool to prevent burns and place towels or a container below the filter area.

Checking the filter and drain pump
