7 kg Balay dryer: how to fix the full water tank warning
The warning may come from a blocked filter, a jammed pump or a sensor that is misreading the water level.

A Balay condenser dryer can stop its program and show a full water tank warning even when the container is empty. In 7 kg models, the cause is often related to condensed-water circulation: a lint-filled filter, a bent hose, the drain pump or the level sensor.
Before taking the appliance apart, switch it off, unplug it and allow it to cool. Empty the tank, refit it fully and clean the accessible areas. These checks resolve many false warnings without putting the dryer at risk.

Why the full tank warning appears
In a condenser dryer, steam from the clothes is cooled and turned into water. The moisture ends up in a tank or is carried away through a drain connection. A sensor monitors the level and stops the cycle when it detects a full container. The message does not always mean that visible water is present.
The simplest cause is a poorly fitted tank, dirt around the contact area or a lid that does not close correctly. Lint can also build up in the channel that carries water toward the lower tray. When the flow slows down, water remains inside and the system activates the protection even though the upper tank looks empty.
On some models, the issue involves the float in the lower tray. This part rises as the water level increases and activates the warning. If residue makes it stick, it can send an incorrect signal. Do not remove the casing without the necessary knowledge, because electrical components and trapped water may be present.
Safe checks before calling a technician
Remove the tank and rinse it with lukewarm water, paying attention to the nozzle and the slot where it fits. Clean the lint filter after every cycle; when it is saturated, airflow worsens and internal condensation increases. Also check that the dryer is level and that no drain hose is crushed.
With the appliance unplugged, inspect the accessible lower area and remove only dirt that you can reach without taking parts off. Do not insert metal objects or pour water into the machine. After refitting the tank, select a short program with a small load and check whether water is collected normally. A five-minute power reset can clear a temporary warning, but it will not repair a persistent fault.
If the manual allows the condenser to be removed, clean it carefully without bending its fins. Lint buildup reduces performance and extends drying time, although it does not always explain the warning by itself. Cleaning must follow the instructions for the exact model, since Balay dryers do not all have the same access or maintenance system.
When the tank remains empty and the warning continues
If the message returns whenever a program starts, the condensate pump may not be draining the water. It could be blocked by lint, worn out or receiving no power. Another possibility is a dirty or faulty water-level sensor. Running more cycles can leave additional water in the base and make the problem worse.
Repairing the appliance requires testing the pump, checking the float and inspecting the wiring and electronic board. These tasks should be carried out with the appliance unplugged and preferably by a qualified technician. Do not replace a sensor using an approximate part number: compatible parts must match the complete model and the manufacturer reference.
Prevention is straightforward: empty the tank at the end of the cycle, clean the filter every time and inspect the condenser area regularly. If clothes remain very damp, the program takes longer than usual or water appears under the machine, these signs point to a drainage issue that needs attention. A persistent full-tank warning is ultimately a sign that the condensation circuit is no longer working normally.
